Programs & Events

Talk 'n' Treats events are gatherings for adults in the community, in conjunction with the Adult Summer Reading Program. We will have delicious treats, word games, adult coloring, and a prize drawing for a chance at a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card, courtesy of the Friends of the Deerfield Public Library. This event is for ages 18 and up only, please. These events are FREE and we hope to see you here!

August 29, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Books and food

We have TWO book discussion groups. Each month's books are always available for check-out at the library prior to the meeting.

POPULAR PICKS DISCUSSION GROUP: This group is led by Rachael and meets to discuss a variety of titles. Please call the library at 764-8102 to find out when the next meeting will be. Registration is not required.

ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP: This group meets every 4th Sunday of the month led by Leah with a summer break from May through August. Please stop by in August for a list of books that are being read starting September 25.

Story Time is geared toward toddlers ages 2 to 5 every Wednesday from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. (THERE WILL BE NO STORY TIMES IN AUGUST.) Stories and a variety of engaging crafts and activities make these a wonderful outing for you and your child. Please come in and check out the fun!
