FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE THROUGH JUNE 10
Our Friends sale has had a big boost recently due to the library staff’s weeding project. We will be keeping our abundance of books and VHS tapes around until the Firemen’s Festival in Deerfield, which is June 8-10th this year. WORM RACE 2012 has a winner!
What a SPECTACULAR race it was! Bella Nelson (Grand Champion) and Laura Bush (Runner-Up) chose the fastest worms this year, and raced to the end with over 50 participants and spectators enjoying the hoopla. Congratulations, Ladies! Thank you judges -- Kaia Fry and Mark Becker, and timekeepers --Fred Fry and Kelly Kositzke, for your exceptional vision and time-countdown skills, necessities in fast-paced races like these! Congratulations to all the worm racers who had a win throughout the night, but didn't quite make it to the end. And to those who didn't have the fastest worms, come back and try again next year. You're bound to pull a winner out of the dirt next time. And it's official--Worms and Dirt is a DELIcious dessert. Come back next year, everyone. The next generation of worms will be waiting....

TIPS FOR USING THE NEW LIBRARY SYSTEM SOFTWARE.
On April 18, the South Central Library System updated it's Linkcat system. Things will look a little different compared to what you are used to when you log online to browse our catalog of books and movies, etc. We are very excited about our new system! Please do not hesitate to ask us for assistance during this transition. We are here to help.
A FEW HELPFUL HINTS:
"LOGIN" is asking for your card number. Please use all the numbers on your card without spaces.
"PASSWORD" is your PIN number--the four digit number that was assigned to you when you received your card.
