CELEBRATING BANNED BOOKS WEEK SEPTEMBER 21-27

Banned Books Week 2014 is upon us! Celebrate with us September 21st -27th by checking out the Banned Books display in the library. Each book has a note detailing the reason(s) it has been challenged. If you're REALLY a rebel, check one out and read it!

WE HAVE "BEST-LOVED BOOKS IN DEERFIELD" BOOKMARKS!

In February, the library introduced the "LOVE BOARD" made especially for patrons to write down and share their favorite books (fill out a heart with title and author of a book you love and put it on the board). From all the hearts that were on the Love Board, we created a list of best-loved books in Deerfield and turned that into bookmarks! One bookmark has the list of adult and young adult favorites, and another has the list of juvenile favorites. You can never have enough bookmarks, right? And you may find something to add to your OWN reading list. Add these special bookmarks to your collection!
