Types of E-Books

Kindle. Works only with
Kindle and Kindle app.

Adobe ePub. Works with Nook,
Overdrive Console, Overdrive app and most other readers.

Adode PDF. Works with Nook and
Overdrive Console, but not Overdrive app. Does not support flowing
text. PDFs can be converted to Kindle format by emailing
them to Kindle address with the subject line- convert.

helps you find free/fee ebooks from many of the following sources.

Pixel
of Ink lists many books that are temporarily free. Subscribe via email
or Facebook.

Project Guttenberg and
Internet Archives provide free out of copyright titles in several different formats. The biggest of the free sites.

Google Books and the Google Book App - Lots of titles, especially
history and genealogy. Some are ePub, but many are
PDF files.
