Library Closed for Memorial Day!

The Library is closed on Monday, May 28th for Memorial Day. The Library will re-open on Tuesday, May 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

New Library Director

The New Glarus Library Board has announced the hiring of new Library Director, Margaret (Maggie) Waggoner, who will start on June 1st. Welcome Maggie! Maggie is leaving her current position in Kaukauna. Our Interim Director, Janis Merkle, will continue in her position as Assistant Director. Kudos to Janis for keeping everything running smoothly!

 

Green County Reads 2012

This year's book is "A Map of the World" by Jane Hamilton - visit any Green County Library to check out a copy and join the fun! New Glarus Public Library has several copies on display right now! The final event is an author presentation at the Gunderson Stiles Concert Hall, 1315 11th St., Monroe, WI on Thursday, May 17th at 7:00 p.m. All events are free and open to the public. If you need accommodations to attend these programs, call the location two weeks in advance.

Video Tutorials for the New LINKcat

If you have questions about using the new LINKcat, New Glarus Public Library staff will be happy to help you over the phone or in person at the Library. South Central Library System staff have also developed several short video tutorials that you can watch on your computer at home, on topics such as searching, placing holds, and renewing items. On the LINKcat main page, click the Help link at the upper right for a list of topics and to access the videos.
