Live Animals!  ZooZort for Kids

Monday, June 24 at 1 p.m.

AnimalsNoelle Tarrant will bring live animals from different parts of the world for a hands-on interactive program. Children will learn about natural animal behavior emphasizing habitat, nutrition, conservation and appreciation - sparking an interest that will last a lifetime!

Bop Til You Drop Run

Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Marion Park

This is a last runner standing event with proceeds to benefit the Sauk Prairie Ambulance Association and the Ruth Culver Community Library.  In addition to the run the event will feature a live DJ, Wyttenbach's famous burgers and brats, bouncy Houses for the Kids, a Craft Fair hosted by Sauk Prairie Ambulance and a used book sale by the library.

How many loops can you run in 14 minutes?  Every starts each loop together.  If you can't finish the loop in time you are out of the race.  The last runner standing wins. The endry fee is $35 from now until race day and includes a race tshirt.  There is a finisher medal to thsoe who complete 13.1 miles.

Moving the Dirt!Storytime is back for MOVING THE DIRT month.  Mark your calendar for our special DIGGER DAY storytime on Thursday, June 27 with a REAL digger after storytime thanks the Public Works crew!

Eva, the dog, made her debut at the library Saturday, 1/19 and it was GREAT!

We have her scheduled for the 2nd Thursday of each month from 4:30-6.

Set up a 15 minute slot to read to Eva by visiting the library or calling 608-643-8318.

Golf Outing, Dinner & Silent Auction

Join us for our the golf outing to support the Ruth Culver Community Library.  This event is hosted by the Friends of the Ruth Culver Community Library and all proceeds will benefit the Ruth Culver Community Library. If you don't golf, consider joining us for the dinner and silent auction. Special opportunities to support the event as a sponsor or silent auction item donor are also available.  Please see the event website for registration details and more information.

Community RoomThe Community Meeting Room is now available for reservations for use.  The community meeting room application form and policy is available online or in the library.  Forms requesting reservations must be submitted to the library.  Your reservation is not complete until the library contacts you to confirm.  Contact Jennifer at 643-8318 to inquire about the availability of a particular date.

Kindles, Nooks and Ebooks

Kindle compatibility is now available for almost all eBooks in the WPLC Digital Download Center (OverDrive), a library database that lets you download FREE eBooks and audiobooks for use on your personal devices, including iPods, MP3 players, Nooks, iPads, and Kindles. There are also apps that will allow you to use OverDrive with your iPhone, Android or Blackberry! Find out if your device is compatible with OverDrive.  If you would like help getting started with Overdrive, please contact Meagan at 643-8318.
