Grants

2010 Grants

The Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation awarded a $500 grant through its Healthy Life Initiative to purchase updated health-related titles for our collection in addition to supporting an movement-based program for school age children.

2009 Grants

The Alliant Energy Foundation awarded the Prairie du Sac Library a grant of $850 to acquire technology-related items including an LCD projector, video camera & a new scanner.

The Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation awarded a $500 grant through its Healthy Life Initiative to help incorporate movement into youth programs. 

The Bank of Prairie du Sac awarded a $500 grant to the library for the purchase of new graphic novels for the teen collection.

2008 Grants

Wisconsin State Journal Youth Services, Inc. awarded a $645 grant to the Prairie du Sac Library to provide a monthly storytime at Bluffview's Family Center. 

MGE awarded the library $300 to purchase books on energy and environmental topics. 

The Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital awarded a $520 grant through its Healthy Life Initiative.  These funds will be used to hold a relaxation presentation (for adults), a fencing program (for teens & children), and a presentation on healthy living in Spanish.  The Library will also purchase some materials for the library about these various topics using funds from this grant. 

2007 Grants

The Medical Physics Foundation awarded the Prairie du Sac Library a grant of $750 for the purchase of Bill Nye DVDs to help support the physics curriculum in the Sauk Prairie schools.

The Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation awarded a Healthy Life Initiative Grant of $600.18 to the Prairie du Sac Library.  These funds will be used to host a series of speakers intended to promote healthy lifestyles.  Library materials related to the speakers will also be purchased and displayed using this grant money. 

Wisconsin State Journal Youth Services, Inc. awarded a $500 grant to the Prairie du Sac Library to promote library services and use in collaboration with the Afternoon Magic program serving children in Grades K-5. 

2006 Grants

A Healthy Life Initiative grant of $400 was awarded to the library by Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation. This grant will provide for the purchase of titles for children that promote healthy lifestyles. 

A grant of $1000 was awarded to the Prairie du Sac Library by the Alliant Energy Foundation. This grant will be used to purchase the Ingles Sin Barreras program designed for Spanish speakers learning English as a second language. 

A $300 grant was awarded to the Prairie du Sac Library by the Madison Gas & Electric Company in order to purchase resources on energy and environmental topics.

2005 Grants

Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation gave the library a $500 grant to purchase parenting and health-related titles in English and Spanish. 

The library received a $1500 LSTA grant to enhance our services for 0-3 year olds and to promote early literacy. This grant was used to purchase bilingual kits in English and Spanish as well as other early literacy materials.
