Friends of the Portage Public Library

Welcome Friends of the Portage Public Library

The Friends of the Portage Public Library began in 1988 to support library services in our community.  Our dues and the annual book sale support the library by assisting in the purchase of books, recorded books, DVD’s, and other items for the library, and to support children’s programs.  We also assist with volunteer support.

Some of the Friends past contributions include the purchase of:  computers, computer software, children’s program rewards, DVD’s, recorded books, a beverage machine, activity tables, book bins and furniture.  We also support the library’s book discussions, newsletter, children’s program presenters, homebound book delivery, annual book sale and annual dinner meeting.

We thank our current members and welcome new members in joining to support the Portage Public Library.  Stop in the Library and pick up a brochure explaining our areas of service and membership.  The Friends membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st.
