Teen Literary Magazine
Tuesdays at 3:30 pm
November 12th & December 10th

Do you like to write poetry, short stories or essays?
Would you like to write book reviews?
Work on the Stoughton Teen Literary Magazine, which will be printed and distributed in the library’s Teen Area.
For teens in grades 6 and up.

"The Unexplained"
Friday, October 25, 2 pm at the Library

Paranormal researcher, Chad Lewis, will present stories of the unexplained.
The program is appropriate for children through seniors and a perfect choice for an early release day!


Saturday Matinee
Saturday, November 2nd, 2 pm at the Library
Attend our Release Weekend screening or go to LINKcat & put a hold on a copy of the DVD.
The film is rated G and open to all ages.

Experimental Films
Monday, November 4, 6:30pm

Nicholas Wynia is an artist with a background in documentary photography and film.
He will be showing work and speaking about his approach to storytelling through the mediums of photography and video. Nicholas is a teacher, Fulbright Scholar, and graduate from the MFA program at UW Madison.


Chess Club

Thursdays, November 7 & December 5, 3:15 pm

Volunteers from the Stoughton Area Senior Center will be in the Teen Area
to teach you how to play chess, or to provide game opportunities for more experienced players.

For teens in grades 6 and up.


Teen Tuesday: Trick Out a Book Truck
Tuesday, November 5, 3:15-4:15pm

Use recyclables and craft supplies to temporarily turn a book cart into something completely different:
a monster, a robot, a pirate ship? You decide.
Snacks provided.
For teens in grades 6 and up.



Healthy Living Series
"Eating Healthy During the Holidays"
Thursday, November 21, 6:30 pm

Avoid that holiday weight gain with strategies for eating and cooking healthy during the holiday season.
Stoughton Hospital staff will provide you with ideas on how to enjoy all the good food without all the guilt.

Black Friday Movies
On Friday, November 29th
enjoy a movie instead of fighting the crowds at the mall!

We'll be showing two different movies!
One at 10 am and a second movie at 2 pm.

At 10 am, we'll be showing the first film, a PG rated animated adventure by the studio that brought you Cars.

The second film will begin at 2 pm and is a PG-13 "reboot" of the Superman franchise.

Both films will feature popcorn and juice.

Teen Tuesday: Make a Gift
Tuesday, December 3, 3:15-4:00 pm

Learn how to make popcorn seasoning and a movie-themed card to pair
with a bag of microwave popcorn for a quick and easy gift.
For teens in grades 6 and above.
